How Sarahs Yogi Journey began...

​

While solo travelling in Costa Rica in 2025, she attended a yoga class in Nosara, and was inspired to make a career change. After practicing yoga for over a decade, the sudden epiphany of becoming a yoga teacher became an undeniably perfect goal.

​

Sarah has enjoyed being a hairstylist since 2013, and owning Luxe, a successful salon, since 2020. Building meaningful relationships, creating a healthy atmosphere dedicated to self love rituals and human connection, is part of the art in hairdressing. These aspects of being a hairstylist make her life so fulfilling, however, it can take quite a toll on the body and mind. What a great opportunity it was to find yoga, to create balance and a long term passion!

In March 2025, Sarah began the new adventure in Mal Pais, Costa Rica, to achieve her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification with Sacred Paths Yoga. This beautiful soul searching journey brought so much healing and love into her life, while recieving unconditional support from friends, family and clients on this transformational new chapter. 

Sarah went on to extend her knowledge in 2026 by completing an advanced 300 hour yoga teacher training online with Yoga Renew, committing to growth and deepening her practice to achieve her 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification.

While Sarah is happily a full time hairstylist and salon owner, she hosts yoga classes in the Powell River area, while continuing to deepen her personal and professional practice as a yogi.
